Writing a book - diary style

My Dad wrote a diary for decades. He died a few years ago and they were passed to me. I am working my way through them and the entries from age 16-20 are the best - extremely funny!! . I was wondering about creating a book of the best entries which I could then give to relatives so they can read them. . I would need to read through them again and copy out the best bits but where do I go from there? A quick look online makes me think I can do this myself using one of the websites and their software. Is there one people would recommend? I see it as an entry per page kind of thing and some of the entries in the diary have drawings which I would like to incorporate too. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Just bumping your thread really, so other people can give advice, but yes there are a range of options out there. Lulu.com was recommended to me but I was worried about the margins and spacing into the gutter etc. If you are doing the same layout on each page it should be more straightforward.

Sounds like a lovely idea. Just make sure you know if you are putting in anything that might upset the family or might be controversial (not saying you should not put in such stuff, but just be aware). Get another relative to have a look before you publish, you never know, the most innocuous comment could be dynamite (nothing more embarrassing than Aunt Meg phoning to say 'why did Pete put that in about dad's affair and why did you send it to everyone including Paula's son, who's actually your uncle?). Your project might also lead to you finding family members and to tracing ancestry, which would also be interesting and the subject of a follow-up volume..

This might sound a bit strange but it’s so easy to self publish on Amazon and there is no minimum amount of orders for author copies. Even if you sell no copies other than the ones you order Amazon won’t care! I have designed a few books with very tailored cover designs and content for family members (a family in joke on the cover for example) with no view to selling them to anyone else, just for me to buy a few as presents and it always worked. You do end up with a bar code isbm or whatever on the back but I can live with that.
