Pseudonym

Does anyone have any experience of (or knowledge about) using a pseudonym? I'm thinking about using one for most of my work, but using my real name for the occasional article.

I'd love to hear other writers' experiences of using one.

Are you producing fiction or non-fiction?

All non-fiction. Happy to write factual articles under my own name but I would prefer to use a pseudonym for the more personal stuff.

I use my married surname because I've kept my maiden name on everything. But a lot of published authors that I know have writing names. It becomes difficult to remember who they really are!
