writing exercises or daily challenges anyone?

I'd like to get into a routine with writing and fancy a little challenge.
I was thinking of something along the lines of Daily Pages, eg stream of consciousness writing, maybe on a random word or theme, either output (1 side of A4) or input (10 minutes on timer)

Does anyone do similar? anyone have an idea for a daily writing challenge?

Mine is just to write a bit every day but I am currently achieving very low on this score! I joined the accountability thread on here where I and others occasionally post about how much or little we are getting done, it would be good to reinvigorate it.

I like your idea of a timer - for me it's about sitting down to it in the first place. Once I've done that I'm into it for as long as kids and life allow.
