What do you write with?

Finally ready to sit down and start my novel, thirteen years after starting it during my degree.
I want to know how you all write, pen and paper? Laptop? Obviously typing is better for editing but I get distracted, and it's too easy to delete in the heat of the moment.
Writing by hand is what I do at present but never get round to the typing up and editing!
Help please!

I use Word. When I've finished a draft I resave so I have a second copy.

I type in google docs. I love that it saves instantly so I can type in the laptop but also open and edit it on my phone when out and about. I prefer typing as I can keep changing sentences whereas if I used pen and paper all the crossed out lines would depress me. Also if a sentence of paragraph isnt working I can just highlight it and go back to it.

I’m thinking of getting a ‘remarkable’ but the subscription one where you can write with a pen and it converts it to text. I did have scrivener but I found it really complex.

Word. I can’t hand write fiction — it just looks way too personal.

Scrivener. I like you can write each scene separately and tag what stage it is e.g first draft, final etc. And view their synopsis on a board.

I have a remarkable tablet because when I first start I like to hand write and then convert it to text and email it to myself. Then, once I'm immersed in the story I start typing it in Scrivener because I like to be able to move chunks around and the virtual pin board is so useful for this. I edit in Word though.
