I've just completed my first year of a Creative Writing degree, and I've been getting Firsts for my pieces! Shameless brag, I know, but I'm so happy!

Have always suffered with poor mental health and took a chance at applying following a particularly low period. Creative writing has been a consistently huge outlet for me. I didn't finish college and thought I'd have no chance, but they took me on as a mature student (I'm 32).

I don't know what to say really. I appear to have self-esteem again and I'm not sure what to do with it!

Good first step to bask in the glow here. Really well done. It’s amazing how affirmation and about something very personal makes you feel over the moon.

I genuinely cried when I got the first one back, and have been getting giddier with every result. If anything, I'm just happy that there are still some decent brain cells knocking about.
