I like to write long hand but it is too time consuming to then type it up afterwards. I've recently treated myself to a Remarkable which is a tablet that feels like paper and when I have finished writing it converts what I have written into text and then I email it to myself. I love it!

Ooohhhhh never hear of those!

Do you write in the same place (in which a desktop PC with ergonomic keyboard and decent screen will almost always be better than the compromises of a laptop) or need to move in which case the main question might be which OS (MS Wndows, MacOS, Chrome, probably not Linux or you wouldn't ask) to inform your choice of laptop/hybrid.

The artificial paper of the Remarkable tablets look funky.

a manual typewriter. The physicality of it drowns out my negative editor.
In theory, on windows there is a OCR reader, so I can scan the typed pages in and save them as an editable document. The trouble is that I can't get it to work. Or rather, I managed it once and never again.

Laptop I bought purely for writing- so no internet or anything- like a word processor with knobs on really!

Chromebook (Fab- has a battery that lasts all day and is really lightweight!)

My phone a lot too!
