Short Stories/Flash Fiction

Hi guys,

I hope this hasn't been asked before. I did search.
Does anyone here write short stories or flash fiction? If so, where do you get them published? I know there are lots of magazines and competitions, but I wondered if anyone had any tips about publishing?

Also, I've written a collection of themed flash fictions. Has anyone ever heard of any agents that would accept something like that?

I have a spreadsheet of about 30 outlets that publish short stories or flash, both print and online. I list their submission periods and word limits, then when I’ve written something new I pick an appropriate market and send it off. Have had three pieces published in the last seven months, I think (plus lots of rejections!).

There are so many outlets for flash/short its hard to know where to begin. Do you pay to submit your stories? I've read that writers should never pay, but even some of the seemingly more reputable magazines have an entry fee.

I'd really like to find an agent/publisher for my collection of themed flashes but, despite extensive googling, I can't find any that seem to accept them.

So, here are some screenshots of my master list. I’m in Ireland, so it leans towards Irish and UK journals, with a handful of American ones as well.
I’ve paid to submit once or twice, if I know the journal is reputable - the online ones don’t make money from sales, and the staff are usually volunteers. Never more than a few quid. Most competitions do have paid entry.
In terms of publishing a collection of flash, I think some of the US flash journals do this from time to time. I would imagine you’d need to get a few standalone pieces published first, though, before they’d be interested.
