Hello,

I'm a Mumsnetter of ancient times (my kids are 13 and 10) and I lost touch several years ago (and replaced my addiction with Twitter). I thought I'd start afresh with a new username (the email to my original account is long defunct!). I've actually rejoined because I am currently writing a book that I intend to self-publish, but it's a bit of a lonely business. I looked at other specific writing forums, but they seemed too scary, so I thought I would return to the familiar bosom of Mumsnet :)

I'm going to have LOADS of questions, but for now, I just wanted to say hi :)

Hi Smile

What kind of book are you writing?

Hearnoevilspeaknoevil · 11/10/2020 12:22

Welcome. What genre is, your book?

Im half way through mine after many false starts.
It can be lonely and a bit frightening getting feedback

Hi all :) I'm writing contemporary fiction. It's a love story set in space. But not sci-fi, more near future, astronauts on their way to land on Mars.

Sounds good, I love near-future fiction. What stage are you at in writing it?

Trickytroggle2 · 16/10/2020 19:00

Hi @lgwriter
I'm quite new round here too. I doubt I'll be able to help with your questions, but looking forward to the threadsGrin

I've cleared up most of the plot holes and continuity (i've a bad habit of writing out of sequence) so it's on the second draft. It's in a 'drawer' for a few weeks before I tackle editing the actual writing.
