Sorry if this is unclear but I'd welcome your views if you couldn't get the preferred .com or .co.uk domain for your website (whether you wanted one based on the title of your novel, the fictional world or your author's name). What would you compromise on? Would you
tweak the descriptor (JK Rowling uses pottermore instead of Harry Potter); or
buy other TLD such as .co.uk, .net, .org, .co or something else?
I see Amazon registered the .book TLD but after several years, they aren't allowing authors to use it. What new TLD would you like to use if one could be created? Would you think .story or .author would be best for creative writing?
I'm interested in your opinions about your websites but I realise social media is more valuable than a website and lots of authors use a combination of blogs, podcasts, social media, email marketing lists, an Amazon author page, Good reads and other things. Does anyone use anything I've missed, either as an author or as a reader, looking for information about books and authors?
Thank you.
