Camp NaNoWriMo - April

I just thought I'd mention that NaNoWriMo is hosting a camp next month.

For anyone not familiar with NaNoWriMo, it's a not-for-profit US organisation which hosts a big novel writing event in November each year - The name stands for NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth. In November the official challenge is to write a 50k novel.

For April's challenge you set your own word count. The forums are open and are a supportive and cheer-leading place to be. You can join 'camp cabins' with RL writing friends, or a random group (based on age, or genre etc). No sharing of writing (unless you want to), no consequences if RL gets in the way.

At this time when we're all locked away it might be of interest to those who write anyway, want to get back to writing, or would liek to give this creative medium a try.

(I'm elfycat there too)

I will be doing it! Might as well. And I always enjoy the supportive nature of the camps. Think this year will be a good one. (Well something has to be.)

I did NaNo in 2018, and have just dug my novel out to redraft. I’ll definitely be joining in, thanks Op ☺️

It's a good time to get into a hobby where your mind can wander as free as it likes (even if your body is supposed to stay put).

I've done (counts on fingers, kicks a shoe off) a few Nanos now, so I have a few projects I could pick up and have a go at finishing.
