If you procrastinate before you write, how long do you do it (hours? days?) before you actually start writing?

Well...

I've had an idea in my head for about two weeks now and not one bit of it has made it onto paper. I'd be fine if I opened my laptop and started but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Worse it's for a module at uni. 🙄🤔

I wouldn't describe as what I do before writing as procrastinating. I plan in my head the plot, the characters, particular scenes, until I'm practically living in that world when I can. That's varied between being basically doing each chapter in my head during the day and writing it in the evening (first time I did NaNo because I only decided to do it the day before) and around 3-4 months when I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it into a story, so kept putting off starting. Once I did start I wrote it in around 20 days though.

My procrastination comes when it's time to edit. I can procrastinate for England then.
