Would anyone read three chapters for me?

I just want to know if it’s engaging and if you’d want to read on. Nothing more complicated than that.
It’s commercial fiction/women’s fic/romance.
Relatively polished as I’m hoping to submit soon. Shortish chapters - about 6k total I think. Willing to repay the favour.
Mentions death of a young woman (male character is a widower).

I forgot to say please - please!
Have got to the point where I can’t judge my writing any more but I can’t bear the thought of real-life friends reading it and judging me.

I'd happily read it for you, sounds just like my kind of book. I'm not an expert though.
PipersOrange · 14/02/2020 13:42
I'd love to
NatureWalk · 14/02/2020 13:43
I'd love too. I love reading. I also.like to write but dont have anything close to being finished yet.
RedPandaFluff · 14/02/2020 13:44
I'd love to read it too - do you want us to be brutally honest?
TARSCOUT · 14/02/2020 13:46
I would love to, just my kind of book!
OrlandoInTheWilderness · 14/02/2020 14:04
Yes I will.
bananahood · 14/02/2020 14:12
Ooh I'd love to as well. Sounds up my street. I often read pieces of work of friends, not novels but things like reports for work, applications, cover letters, presentations etc.
shutthedamndoor · 14/02/2020 14:15
Happy to!
ElfrideSwancourt · 14/02/2020 15:09
I'd love to read it for you.
InescapableDeath · 14/02/2020 16:10
Thank am sure that’s more than enough thank you! Will just finish throwing snacks at kids then can think about the next bit.
Not sure about brutal honesty. I mean feel free to say ‘it didn’t work for me at all’ but would rather avoid a sentence by sentence deconstruction if that makes sense. And less work for you. Even a ‘I only read to page 2 and got bored’ is fine :)

I have a two-month-old, @InescapableDeath - feedback will be carefully considered but limited
Looking forward to reading it!
InescapableDeath · 14/02/2020 16:33
Link sent - feel free to read or not!
morningcuppatea · 15/02/2020 23:33
Well I managed to read it this morning, my DS started playing up half way through and I had to distract him so I could carry on reading. Your characters are likeable and I enjoyed the twists, I would definitely have kept reading on if I had the book.
I hope that helps and good luck
RedPandaFluff · 16/02/2020 09:42
I haven't got to read it yet but I definitely will!
TARSCOUT · 16/02/2020 09:46
I started but not finished I'll do tomorrow morning when home alone!
NatureWalk · 16/02/2020 09:47
I'm planning on reading it tonight!
InescapableDeath · 16/02/2020 10:30
Thank you, very kind @morningcuppatea that's helpful :)
Everyone else, don't worry if you don't get to it, I'm asking you to give up your time for nothing so don't let it hang over your head! I've had a couple of bits of feedback now and feel lucky to have that :)
(but more always useful so not telling you not to do it!)
