Is this a really weird combination?

The other day my MC's actual voice started coming to me. I realised that one of the things that was bothering me was the tone in my dialogue, with quite a few characters having similar styles when they talk.

I did a visualisation exercise and suddenly I could hear my MC. A few lines came to me and I know exactly what "voice" I want to give her. The problem is it's quite idiosyncratic and sparky, and the novel is pretty literary in style and in the first person. Is it going to be weird, having the MC have this punchy, casual way of talking, but with her inner thoughts in this more straight down the line style?

You mean, if your character’s internal monologue is in elegant, literary prose but every time she opens her mouth, it’s all chirpy Cockney and slangy?
