What do you write on?

I'm finding the family laptop big and clunky, and my hands are getting sore with handwriting. DH suggested a Chromebook, as they are small and light. I had a look and they seem just the thing, though a bit expensive. I'm not very techy though - any suggestions or recommendations?

I tried a Chrome book, (borrowed from work) and I didn't really like it.

It was okay to type on but there were other issues with it.
I found saving was the biggest frustration, but that may have been me. I'd try and save it and find it hadn't. It didn't really talk to my PC computer so the only way I could get the work off it was to copy it into an email and email it to myself.
I like best the main computer at home, but I like the full sized keyboard and the feeling that the keys are being actually pressed down, which seems to be the opposite to what you're looking for.

DH (not for writing though) has just got a tablet with Bluetooth keyboard which is working well for him.

I have two computers, a regular desktop and a cheapo laptop that isn't a chromebook but is a small laptop with SSD drive. The laptop is annoying tbh. I only want it for chrome/word/scrivener so I thought it didn't matter that it wasn't particularly powerful, but it's quite slow and I find it really irritating. I chose it over a chromebook because I wanted to store files / software on it.

I use my desktop the most but then I am lucky to have space in our dining room that's just for my writing desk.

I've got a mac mini but I save all my work on an external hard drive as well. I love the mac keyboard and mouse.

I write chic lit/dramatic short stories for fun.
However, also I have been writing a few articles about my experiences for a magazine specific to a particular disability. I also recently took journalism and did a food critique that I did well on, so I might write more of these.

Sorry, read the question wrong.
I read Braille and write on a display that I can either connect with my phone or use as a stand-alone. Makes typing easy.

I write bloody everywhere. Whatever's to hand (mostly not the laptop as it's a hassle, has to load etc.)
I write things on my smart phone, or saved in my email or one drive off any available device really. Or I write on good old fashioned paper (which I prefer for editing). That's usually for ideas and small bits of text, then I have to word process it once it gets too bulky for other formats.
