Hi I'm a new writer. I have had my work performed on amateur stages around the country. I've written my first film screenplay which got an honorary mention from Industrial scripts reviewer. It's an unusual story of love and sacrifice over a historical backdrop. I've emailed several agents, but they've either (mostly) ignored my query or rejected me without reading a word. Does anyone have any experience of an agent with a slightly more open mind to new writers ? I'd be so grateful for any pointers
