Would you read a ghost story?

Just that, really!

I'm new to the page and have spent some of my maternity leave writing a novel which I have edited to death, almost thrown away dozens of times and pulled out most of my hair sending it to agents.

And no self-doubt has crept it and I just wondered, would you read a modern ghost story?

Now, not no! Editing skills clearly need work...

100% absolutely. Please let us know if you get anywhere and I will read it. How great you have spent your Mat leave so productivity!

A really well written ghost story is amazing. And well done for writing it at all! Persevere.

I love a good ghost story, I'd read one.

I can remember watching this cheesy b-movie called something like Carnival of Ghosts in my teens with my grandmother. She was howling laughing at it and I didn't sleep for a fortnight. It was one of those where the ghost appeared in the rear view mirror of the car and I still hate driving at night because of the fear of the laughing dead clown.

Thank you for all the lovely replies, I'm glad I've found a genre that works! Now just to improve the writing...

I'm in the waiting phase now, sent off to agents a week ago and trying not to hit my email refresh button every 15 seconds!
