I've scared myself.

I'm writing a crime/horror novel. I'm home alone apart from the baby and I've managed to terrify myself into believing in ghosts Grin I'm now too scared to continue writing until DH is home.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's freaked themselves out with their own writing and imagination Blush

I'm sure it is common. If I were to write a screen play about axe murderers I'm quite sure my sleep patterns would be in bits!

Whose that famous writer dude who said, if you don't cry writing your book, your readers won't either and if you aren't surprised by your book, your readers won't be either? Well, applying the same principles, you're on the right track 👍🏻

My imagination is very wild.

I love horror so I have from a young age freaked myself out senseless.

Been there (when writing about zombies happening, from the viewpoint of a single mum with a toddler having to run away from them...).

Also a general maxim among erotica writers - if it's not turning you on, it's not going to turn anyone else on, either.
