How many times can I resubmit?

Hi everyone

I was just wondering how many times it is acceptable to resubmit the same MS to the same publisher. I'm not ready to send it out quite yet but hope to be in the next few weeks after some feedback. So in the meantime I'm daydreamig about getting a request for a full MS, or more importantly that phone call to say someone wants it In my haste and naivety I've sent it twice now to 2 big agents when it wasn't ready (although I thought at the time it was) who've both rejected it, although 1 wasn't a standard rejection which was nice. The ms has changed significantly since my last submission. Would it be acceptable to send the same MS again? Thanks

I've got the impression that, unless they say that they'd like to see it again with changes, basically you don't resend even with big changes.

Thanks witchend. I know these agents do accept resubmissions - but 3 times might be a bit much

Unless they're the only ones that would take it, I'd look elsewhere anyway. It might be that they don't like your topic/style but someone else would.
