Are picture books dead?

I read a good article recently questioning whether picture books face extinction (too expensive, too outdated, too quickly brushed aside) it's worth a read and is linked from my blog here jeggle.co.uk/?p=145 I'd be interested to hear what you think.

Hell no!

NO! Absolutely NO! One of our favourite things is to snuggle down at bedtime to read at least four of these things and talk about the story and the pictures. It's a magical time for both of us.
