Rickshaw safety

Such a sad story about the young Mum from Newry who got on a rickshaw after the Westlife gig in Dublin last weekend 😢 It hit a curb and became detached. She has been left with a catastrophic brain injury. A go-fund-me has been set up.
Years ago the Council tried to ban these due to safety concerns, it didnt happen. Now this poor lady is paying the price.

RIP to her. May god help her family. Absolutely tragic.

they should be banned. Awful things. So flimsy, music blaring out of them usually. They should be regulated like e-scooters or banned entirely.

Gosh @EvolvedAlready I heard that she had died a few hrs after posting. So very sad, just heartbreaking 😔 You always hope for a miracle. Her poor family & loved ones.

May Danielle rest in peace. So so sad. Her two wee boys 😢

So sad may she rest in peace. I can't believe they are still around. I remember when they first appeared on our roads in the late 90s it was all college students working on them and half the time they were drunk or drugged flying around giving people lifts. I knew a few who worked on them at that time, lethal things. They disappeared then for a longtime no idea why they have come back and why they are not regulated.

Heartbreaking, the poor girl & her family & friends. May she RIP. I heard that a car hit her as she fell out. I'm sure the driver of the car got an awful shock too. Obviously these things are extremely flimsy & unsafe. We would have gone on them years ago without a thought. Hopefully they will now be banned in memory of Danielle ❤️
