Anybody else watching the athletics, and being blown away by all the Irish support in the stadium?
It's been brilliant - so many Irish athletes doing well, so many Tricolours being waved in happiness, so many voices joining in the anthem at the medal ceremonies.

Well done to all concerned, congratulations, and thank you - It's been a tonicSmile

Yes - I have been watching it all week. So many great performances from Irish athletes and the crowd have been amazing. 🇮🇪 (I am Scottish with mostly Irish ancestry).

Great bronze medal for Coscoran too. 👍

Yes, he was absolutely delighted and Kate O Connor was fantastic!

Brilliant week of sport, fantastic Irish athletes both on and off the track and pool. Great ambassadors for our island. I had been thinking about going over to Birmingham for it and never got round to sorting it out, raging now.

Kate O'Connor's post-event [I can't remember what the last thing in the hept is - 800m or something?] interview was incredible.
Despite having just come off the track, she spoke so well about everything - including about being a role model for young Irish athletes, and about her Granny who died not long ago and who would have been proud. All this in thoughtful, well chosen words which I couldn't manage now, let alone after running around a stadium!

I loved when she said that when she heard the roar from the Irish supporters as she came toward the end of the race, she knew she couldn't loseSmile

Very impressive. Rachida Adeleke also spoke very well - more emotional, more about how down she felt because her form had dipped, and how she could believe in herself again now - she looked so proud and so happy to have got over a bleak time in her life, it was lovely to see.

Mark English [I'm sure his surname caused some consternation - 'il est Irlandais - mais son surnom est..'English?' 😁] getting a gold at last, after such a long long wait, was wonderful too.

And let's not forget the swimmers, well done, Mona McSharry and Ellen Walshe!

It's great isn't it when you have to stop and think 'Have I forgotten any of the Irish medal winners?'😄
