Home Care for elderly parents

Hello
Does anyone have experience with an agency or service that focuses on individual home care of elderly in Dublin (specifically South Dublin / Monkstown area)? I’ve tried reaching out to a few (sending emails, filling out their own info request forms online & attempted phone calls), yet not one agency has returned my enquiry attempts.
Any personal experiences? Recommendations? Agencies to avoid?

i don't have personal experience of this organisation, but it seems like a good idea, might be worth talking to

My 94 year old mum was recently discharged home after rehab for a stroke. She lives in Clonskeagh. The rehab centre set up a home care package with Castle Home Care. They send someone for one hour morning and evening to help with meal prep , laundry etc, not nursing care. They have been efficient and reliable but all the « carers » - a few different ones come on different days - are young foreign students working to support themselves while at Uni etc, no training in being a carer and most are from fairly well off backgrounds so not used to eg ironing and cooking even for themselves. Mum hates them as in fact she has to find things for them to do and she often sends them away early.
They are provided free of charge but we are going to see if we could switch to their private service to see if we could get a more suitable regular person for mum.

My friend engaged a live in type of service which involved carers , all Filipinos staying in property . The contract was for 35 hours weekly of work but of course they are a presence in the home . Advantage was that most were qualified nurses. I think it was called AL as in Asian Living .
