Picking up 1am Sunday from Dublin Airport

I am travelling from Belfast to pick up my partner at 1am on Sunday and am concerned about the fuel protests. Anyone made this journey recently? Are the delays reduced at night-time? Anyone sent on a detour away from the motorways into the back roads? I would worry about driving on unfamiliar back roads at that hour of night.

I flew from Dublin yesterday in the early hours, although I travelled up from the South. Google maps redirected me away from the M50 closure and I made it to the airport smoothly and with no delays. I'd just go with your sat nav and you should be fine.

I think the main protests happen later on in the morning anyway, if they're still on at all on Sunday.

It looks like parts of M50 blocked and unless talks go well today it's likely to stay that way. I just checked now and it looks fine coming from Belfast direction the problem is for those coming from the other side. I live in south Dublin and m50 blocked so sent through town to get to airport
