I support them ..they seem like decent, hard working people who are at the end of their tether. Threatening them (as the Guards Representative did earlier) is not the way forward.

Oh no...Michael Healy Rae has left government.

Papercompany · 14/04/2026 17:47

He checked to see what way the wind was blowing....he said that he was in a pub recently and the men were telling him how they couldn't fill their tanks with fuels...over pints...

Don't the Healy Raes have a petrol station?

Anonanonanonagain · 14/04/2026 17:56

@Papercompany only free legal aid is criminal legal aid it is not free for anything else like divorce or whatever. Legal aid itself is means tested and that should be the same across the board for people on social welfare etc and i agree an amount should be charged whether you work or not for doctors fees. The reason some of us without medical cards cannot get doctors appointments is because people with them go for absolutely every small thing because they dont have to pay while the rest of us who do have to pay have to wait for an appointment.

Healy rae is a fucking moron and best away from anything remotely political.

I don't think they are as stupid as they pretend to be. Which is worrying!

Joolsin · 14/04/2026 18:10

They are the very definition of "cute hoors", aren't they. Although I'd say they have splinters on their behinds from fence-sitting on this issue - balancing backing anti-Government agitators with owning a petrol station/property, etc.

Has he been a minister now long enough to qualify for a ministerial pension ?

Do I detect a note of sarcasm?
