Dolores Keane has passed away

Very sad to hear of the death of Dolores Keane. Such a fantastic singer. Her version of 'Caledonia' is just sublime.

May she rest in peace - her life hasn't always been easy, but at the TG4 Gradam Saoil concert in 2022 she looked and sounded well, and I hoped she had got to a good place and would have many more happy years.
I'm glad she received that award and felt the love and admiration for her.

She sang Dougie MacLean's 'Caledonia' at the Gradam Saoil, but this is the version we all know and love:

Listening now to John Creedon RTE Radio 1 who is doing a lovely tribute to her. May Dolores’ gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Her moment of triumph in 2022- over addiction, financial problems, cancer - even the magnificent head of hair had grown back!

A lovely way to remember her.
