Experience on Librium

I would like to go to rehab in Ireland but they don't do a detox and said I should go to my GP for Librium. He wants me to go to the hospital for an LFT test before then but will prescribe.

Has anyone been on the medication? What was your experience on it?

Bumping coz I don't know . But isn't Librium a bit like Valium?

My late dad did a librium detox at home. He was late seventies and a very, very heavy drinker. My mother was totally unprepared for how it would be. He was hardly able to get out of bed. I have no clue what dose he was on but being elderly can make those drugs much more severe - could have been a factor. I know that it's medically recommended to avoid the DTs so it seems like a necessity. I have taken max daily dose of valium and xanax manys a time for severe anxiety and I don't find they make me zonked. I guess it varies from person to person. Good luck with your detox.
