Rathdown School & Boys

Hi there,

Does anyone have any experience of boys attending Rathdown School currently, or anyone planning on sending your sons there?

It has only recently gone co-ed so not sure if it will still be very much a girls school with the addition of a few boys. Sometimes it takes a while to settle into co education and get numbers balanced!. DS is a boys boy and wouldn't like to be totally outnumbered by girls!

Any information on the school in general also appreciated?

Hi, no information on Rathdown. But my cousins child went to De La Salle in Churchtown last year. It changed from all boys to mixed. I think this is the 3rd maybe 4th year of it being mixed. It still has more boys enrolling than girls. However she loves it and enjoys school. Loves the rugby.
I would think in first few years it would have more girls and as you say would take a while for the numbers to balance out.
