In the airport today I read the interview with Ms Raleigh. I see that it is online too, but behind a paywall. https://www.independent.ie/life/health-wellbeing/blathnaid-raleigh-after-the-attack-i-was-gone-all-the-personality-traits-were-gone-the-things-i-loved-to-do-were-all-gone-so-i-couldnt-go-back-to-being-myself/a1174046674.html

I don't live/work in Ireland anymore, but for those living there this is an interesting read about legal system, supports, etc. While I do not know Ms Raleigh personally, I've had a pre-read of some of the chapters of the book. It's an important book, and hopefully read by a lot of people there.

Bláthnaid Raleigh: ‘After the attack, I was gone. All the personality traits were gone. The things I loved to do were all gone. So I couldn’t go back to being myself’

“That impact is a massive thing, across all the different areas of your life, you know? You lose all of yourself. Your hobbies, your friends, the things you love, all of that changes and I don’t think people are aware of that.”
