Hi everyone!
I’m visiting Belfast with my almost 5-year-old DD ( we live aboard and she hasn’t been to Belfast in 2 years ) so I’m feeling a bit out of touch with what’s good for families now!
We’re looking for:
Restaurants/cafes that are:
• Genuinely child-friendly (not just high chairs and colouring sheets!)
• Relaxed atmosphere where a chatty 4yo won’t feel out of place
Activities for a 4-5 year old:
• Indoor options (just in case of weather!)
• Fun things to do that might be new and exciting for her
We’ll be there for 5 days and I’ll be on my own with her, so anywhere particularly good for that situation would be amazing!
Thanks in advance - I know you lovely lot will have brilliant suggestions

W5 - my kids love it! It’s in the odyssey arena that has restaurants like zizzi and Nando’s in it. My kids can spend a full day in W5 and still not see it all.

Ulster museum which is free. If it’s a dry day can walk through botanic gardens stop off at the tropical ravine and then onto the playpark

Drumglass park off the Lisburn road & then go for ice cream in mauds or spoon street after - spoon street is a help yourself flavoured frozen yoghurt (my kids still think it’s ice cream) with self serve toppings.

Disney cafe which I think is stitch themed at the moment in the big primark in the centre. Kids love it , I think over priced rubbish but keeps them happy

I will most definitely make a trip to W5. She went once when she was 2 and even at that age she had a blast!
Disney cafe sounds cute but I’m not sure if I want to brave primark for it!
thank you for the suggestions

Will you have a car? Montalto Estate has a fantastic playground.

I will have a car for two days as I bought tickets to streamvale farm. Montalto estate looks lovely. I had planned a visit to Ashvale farm so that is nearby which is great! Thank you
