Vodafone Ireland has launched a new emergency Real-Time Text (RTT) service allowing you to contact 112 using text, with your message appearing as you type. No delays, no waiting — a huge step forward for accessibility and safety. This technology was first developed at Gallaudet University eight years ago and was recently featured on RTÉ News with ISL. - Android – Settings → Accessibility → Hearing or RTT → Turn RTT ON
- iPhone (iOS) – Settings → Accessibility → RTT/TTY → Turn RTT ON → Enter “112” for emergency call. Once enabled, RTT is usually found near your phone/call icon.
