Dunnes card outage

Anyone else get stuck in the queue? There was a real party atmosphere 😁

What happened?

There was a nationwide problem with card payments so everyone was scrambling to find cash

I don't think it was just a Dunnes thing. I was in aldi about an hour ago and they had lots of signs up about cards being declined. Mine worked fine though.

Oh right, I only use cash 😊

It was all shops. I was in Lidl and it was hit and miss. I had already 200euro worth of groceries unpacked on the conveyor but I was lucky my phone tapped easily. Some phones were not tapping and I dont even know where my card was so I couldnt take cash out. I breathed a sigh of relief but some others were not as lucky.
