Limerick - recommendations for lunch

Hi all
I'm meeting a friend in Limerick in a few weeks time and neither of us know this city at all. Would anyone have a recommendation of somewhere to go for lunch? And maybe a walk close by? Thanks.

If you aren't confined to the city abd are driving there is The Westward Ho pub in Mungret for food and on to Curraghchase Forest park for a walk or go to Adare and The Dunraven Arms for food, nice walks in Adare. I'm not as familiar with the city itself but The People's Park is popular with families but I don't know where you'd eat near it.

The curragower is a gorgeous spot depending on the day you would usually need to book

There once was a lady at brunch
Who was already thinking of lunch
She fancied some cake
Or a hearty tray bake
But she ended up drinking pink punch.

For lunch, the Hook and Ladder in the city centre is lovely. If you would like something more formal with three courses the Savoy hotel is great. There is Bella Italia. Adare, 10 miles out, is also lovely.
