Supply teaching in NI?

Hello,

Moving to NI in August.
On a sabbatical for academic year.
Would like to try out some Supply in post primary schools in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.
Have 20 years of secondary teaching in England comprising of Catholic and Co-ed state schools with around 1600 on roll.
Any advice re area/schools to avoid or to aim for?
Partner (from NI) says youngsters are better behaved in NI than England (he is shocked at the things I tell him about school - I am not shocked). Are there any major differences- kids are kids?
I appreciate the history and complexities of NI enough to be sensitive and keep mouth shut!
love to hear from you!

Lucky you to be moving to the stunning north coast! I’m not from there so can’t really help you. But I am a teacher here and know there are lots of great schools up there eg Dominican College. St Killians meant to be nice too.

You need to get yourself on the supply register. Ime kids are better behaved and schools better run than in England.
