Love holidays?

Has anyone booked a holiday from love holidays? They are coming in extremely cheap which of course has made me question things. I've done the usual searches online and their rating is pretty high especially on trust pilot, checked on boards and the reviews are pretty good. Just seeing if anyone has first hand experience with them here.

I'm literally back this morning from Tallinn on a LoveHolidays booked week break.
No problems at all with flights or hotel.
So recommended here

Just remember that baggage, transfers and seats beside your party on the plane is all extra cost. My parents fly out with them on Wednesday. They are flying with Ryanair which isn’t ideal

Good point. Our flights were with Wizz air - and flight extras were booked via the Wizz air site - but all the provided links worked.

No experience, but I think they are a third party agency rather than a direct travel operator like Tui or Jet2, which means they put together packages as you could by booking flights and hotels separately, and they don’t always have access to fully live systems. I was stung once by booking a lastminute.com “package” in this way - a week passed and they hadn’t confirmed my Eurostar train booking, and it turned out the journey I’d tried to book (and had paid for) was fully booked, but it took me several days of trying to contact them to sort it out and get us booked on a (worse) alternative train. That experience has put me off last minute, love holidays etc - I would always either DIY or book with an actual operator. Plenty of people seem to get lucky but I wouldn’t take the risk.

I’ve used them twice, the only single issue I had which may not even be their fault was the booked transport, we were told it was all booked, it picked us up from the airport with no issues but on the return journey to the airport, it never showed up, at 2 in the morning we panicked but managed to get a taxi. Once we got home we called and was told we were supposed to call the transport people and confirm pickup, so could have been our fault or theirs. Either way only a minor issue really.

Oh and my last trip I use them for - again not an issue but more a minor inconvenience. Once arrived at a hotel in turkey (3 in the morning), we had to wait around for ages as the money hadn’t been sent through them yet so no confirmation. We waited around 1 hour and finally was able to check in

Just remember they are a third party agency. I imagine 90% of people have no issues but if anything goes wrong with your flight or transfers or hotel I wouldn’t cross fingers for a resolution.

personally I’d either book everything independently so I’m in the best place to sort if any issues OR pay for full service operator like jet 2. Something in between makes no sense to me unless it is cheaper than booking independently, which it might well be. I think theoretically some kind of protection is included but not sure what that means other than money back if the provider goes bust, which you should get via a credit card company anyway

Thank you all for your replies and experiences, usually go through a tour operator but they're looking for ridiculous amounts. Booking independently is coming in much higher too .

I've costed out everything including bags and added different seats prices and it's still coming in cheaper, only thing is transfers are much higher than everyone else but we can opt to not include that and arrange our own, have been before so are familiar with that side of things.

The only thing concerning me is if I need to contact them, if they aren't the best communicator's and knowing my luck something would go wrong.

I don’t know if it’s the same everywhere but our hotel actually had a love holidays rep on site

That was what happened with me with Lastminute. It took a week or more to resolve what should have been sorted out in 20 minutes - having to repeatedly call them, repeat again and again the problem to different call handlers, wait for them to give me alternative options etc. It was like pulling teeth. Possibly I was just unlucky, but I wouldn’t risk it again

Jane1727 · 27/07/2025 21:01

We are away with them at the minute. They changed our hotel last minute without telling me. I only knew as some money came out of my account so I phoned to ask why.
We were separated from the rest of our group. I received lots of platitudes from their customer service but no action. Holiday ruined as not with friends. We are trying to make the most of it but would never book with them again. It is worth paying a bit more.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 27/07/2025 21:08

Do a Facebook search. When things go smoothly it’s fine but you’re not booking a package holiday so if any one component changes, you’re stuck. I wouldn’t book with them personally

Yes same here, used them once and got to the airport and the arranged transport wasn’t there, the taxi desk we were supposed to go to checked their records and said love holidays cancelled it. it was a bit of a pain but we just got in a taxi in the end and paid ourselves. I tried getting in contact with love holidays but it was more hassle than it was worth tbh, they weren’t very helpful. The taxi on the the journey did show up. So not a huge deal but annoying when landing at 1 am.

Holibobby · 30/07/2025 00:20

Ive used them for a couple of years now and never had an issue. They’ve always sent me all the holiday information I need In advance of the holiday. The only reason I didn’t use them this year is because on the beach came up cheaper.
