DS2 starting today (DS1 did it last year so back to back LC has not been fun in this house!) Nerves were bad at the weekend (convinced he was going to fail maths) but have calmed today, Thank God.
English is one of his strong subjects so hope it all goes well 🙏

Best of luck to all LC families. The grannies of Ireland will have the candles lit so all will be well.

From past experience I think once they get the first day over them they get into the routine of sitting the exams. It's like the nerves waiting for something to start but once you start the nerves ease.

My ds is in the Scottish school system and when he was born in April, I thought 'ah sure that's grand he won't have his birthday ruined by exams' - not realising that the Highers start late April to May. I've regaled him with stories of everyone starting the LC on one Wednesday in June and Pass and Honours papers etc

Anyway - all the best to those sitting the LC this year 💐

Good luck everyone. My daughter started JC this morning - thinks it went okay. Home now and having a nap as the build up was so exhausting! She barely attended school in second year (newly diagnosed autism and crippling anxiety) so the fact she is even sitting them is a major win.

The fact that she’s started them now is so brilliant @FoFanta. The build up is nearly worse!

Sorry she and you went through that @FoFanta, glad she's doing better now 💐
