I see that the investigation into Fiona Pender's disappearance has been reclassified as a murder investigation. It's been 29 years since she disappeared, so I guess it wasn't likely that she would be found alive. So sad that her last day was spent shopping for baby clothes with her Mam. I hope this isn't a false lead and that the family can finally have some closure. Must have been just devastating for her family and friends, living with this for 30 odd years.

To think her Mum and Dad died before her body was found.
I think most people know who was involved but with no evidence………
I won’t speculate on here in case the guilty get off because they couldn’t get a fair trial, if and when they are charged.
🥲

I just came on here specifically to see if there was a thread about her yet.

Does anyone know why it was upgraded now? I'm curious as to whether new evidence came up or is it just a matter of current Gardai going through all the 90s disappearance cases?
