Is frozen mash floury or slimy?

Posting in Craicnet because I think Irish people like a floury mash, I know I do. I've seen people raving about frozen mash but I feel like it wouldnt be floury. Any insights?

It's sticky and a bit solid in my (non irish) experience packet mash is a bit better but I don't think floury would describe either of them

I don't think it's floury, and/but I do think it's delicious. (Some vague Irish heritage from centuries ago 🤣)

I’ve used it many times. Add a touch of butter and a splash of milk and tastes lovely

Nope and nope.

I microwave it, stir in a load more butter, a handful of chives, and could just graze on it all day long.

Best invention ever.

I tried it recently because it was raved about on a different thread.
I didn’t let on it was frozen mash.
I added cheese to it, lots of cheese.
DH wasn’t sure. He was a bit suspicious. Questioned had I made it. 😀
I blamed it on too much cheese 😉

DCs were fine with it.
Would I repurchase ?
Probably not.

Slimy.

Love floury, buttery creamy mash myself. Especially with chives & bacon. Maybe with a rich onion gravy too.
