Hello! We are new to the area and didn't appreciate the schools finish so early and that the schools don't all provide after school clubs, so we are late to apply for after school care and all of the local ones I can find are full. We are based in Killiney, very near to Dalkey, and have been offered a spot for my son in Dalkey school project junior infants class. Does anyone have any experience of this school?
Given the cost of the afterschool (if i can even find one!) or an afternoon nanny, I am now considering a local fee paying school as they seem to have integrated afterschool provisions ie. castle park, st nicholas montessori etc. So if I could get some advice on those schools and on what people with 9-5s tend to do for their afterschool arrangments that would be much appreciated! I have a 1 year old as well who will be in a fulltime daycare but if I have to go down the nanny route I could save costs on combining the care I guess.
