I was quoted €240 for gutter cleaning, soffit and fascia ..three bedroom semi , garage, no extension or conservatory..guy said he also washes windows and doors when he does this..fair enough but I did think it would be a little cheaper?
Is this the average price nowadays? I last had it done nearly five years ago and it was €120

Had ours done but with a double garage and side extension in July 2024 for £200 in SE and this included replacing broken securing pieces on the garage.

Just had this quoted today. Gutter clearance and gutter, facia and soffit clean and all windows in a 4 bed (plus conservatory roof clean) for £240.

Quote for gutter clearance and cleaning of soffits and fascias in 4 bed house, no conservatory, £275. Can anyone trump this?

The average cost for gutter, soffit and fascia cleaning in the UK typically ranges from £80-£150 for a standard 3-bed semi, depending on accessibility and debris levels. For two-storey homes, prices may increase to £100-£200 due to ladder work. Some cleaners charge per linear metre (£3-£6) if only sections need attention. Always confirm if the quote includes soffit and fascia washing (mildew/grime removal often adds £50-£100). Avoid "too cheap" services under £60—they may skip proper downpipe clearing or use inadequate equipment. For bundled maintenance (e.g., gutter cleaning + soffit and fascia inspection), expect to pay 20% more but gain long-term savings. Seasonal timing matters too; autumn cleanings post-leaf-fall often cost 10-15% extra.

Last year…£500. Yep, you read that correct.

But, detached house in expensive SE town. Lots of guttering including large extension. Hadn’t been done in 5+ years. They were absolutely filthy. Gutters, fascia and soffits all cleaned by hand. Gutter blockages removed, some repairs made.

DH and I justified it that it would have taken us at least a full on day (probably 2) for us to both do the job. We are self employed so taking the day off for both of us, plus the hiring of ladders etc would come in to more than £500. Not to mention the fact that neither of wanted to risk falling off a ladder and the job was really mucky.

So for a one off to clean really dirty gutters etc, I was ok at the £500. But I wouldn’t pay that again this year as the gutters are in decent condition now.

Edited to add our garden office was also done and included in the price.

Oh God, I’m a new homeowner… someone please tell me what a soffit or fascia is and why I need to be cleaning it? 😭
