Anyone else claim this?
If you have 2 dc,can I ask how much you earn and how much you receive?
I earn 41800 and I can’t figure out how much I might receive…I know it’s based on net income but depending on the figure I use, (net YTD or net pay on one payslip) I’m getting answers of between €30 to €200!! 😅

any insight would be great thank you.

As far as I know they use year to date and divide by the number of weeks. I can't help with how long it takes, it used to be about 5 or 6 weeks but I'm not sure if that has changed.

Oh perfect that makes sense. Thank you so much for responding ☺️

They use YTD, they look for your last payslip for this. It's not quite net either, they look at your gross after pension, and deduct tax alright, but if you get any bik that will be counted as part of your wages.
Get it in ASAP as it will be back dated, and hopefully that week include the €400 cost of living allowance they are giving next month.
Best of luck

It’s in since Tuesday @WaveyGodshawk thank you! It would be such a HUGE help! I didn’t know I was eligible until now 😫 I could have been claiming since last year 😫

Sorry I should have said, backdated from when you submitted your claim. It's a pity that it doesn't get back dated from when you became eligible Sad
Obviously I don't know your circumstances, but make sure you are claiming the single parent tax credit if that applies to you, as that will get backdated to the start of the year.
Hoping the wfp comes through quickly enough for you anyway Flowers

I just looked at my last assessment from them so they calculate your assessable income as
Gross Taxable earnings
Less paye
Less prsi
Less usc
Divided by weeks worked

They then subtract that figure by the income limit for your family size, and your weekly rate is 60% of the difference between the 2 amounts.

Hope this helps

(Edited for spelling)
