Wearing red on XX day

There's a call out for women to wear something red today, 10/10. XX/XX.

This is particularly relevant here in Ireland where women, as in people with XX chromosomes, have no specific legal protection. The word 'sex' was removed from equality legislation, and replaced with the waffly word 'gender'. Any man can self-ID as a woman, taking even the word 'woman' away from us. 'Women' can now include men, and there's nothing we can do about it until reality is restored to the law.

Keep an eye out for those red signals todaySmile

XX Day should be celebrated as Real Women's Day, the only trouble with wearing red it will be confused with "Show Racism the Red Card" day which is being celebrated on Friday 18th October 2024 being the 10th Anniversary of wear red day.

Ugh, wish I saw this before I pulled the red hoody on this morning, wouldn't want my views to be misinterpreted.

I don't mind my anti-sexism gesture blending into an anti-racism oneSmile

I only just saw this and went to see if I had anything red. I don't own a single piece of red clothing but I managed to find a red hair bobble! ❌❌

Trouble is the anti-sexism gesture might just get lost and fail to spread. Both are gestures are worthwhile and valid, that is true.
