Westport, Mayo restaurant recommendations

Hi. We will be in Westport at end of of August in a Sunday and Monday. We’ve noticed that many of the restaurants close on those nights. Can anyone recommend nice restaurants that might be open?
Also, can anyone recommend a good pub to go and listen to music? Would they serve food too? Thanks

The Towers down by the Quay is lovely, some of the best restaurants views in the world IMO, just checked and it is open 7 days a week. Not sure about the best place for live music. Have a wonderful trip!

Matt Molloys for music 🎶 I think

make sure to stop in Foxford Mayo on the way if you are passing for a coffee

Thanks both! We have booked Cobblers Bar for music and food on Sunday. I’ll check out the Towers and will hopefully have a Guinness in Matt Molloy’s.

Covies, the bistro type restaurant in the Plaza Hotel is pretty reliable, Towers also lovely. If Friends Bistro in town is open I would also recommend that - their soup and toastie for lunch is absolutely lovely. Hope you have a great visit.

I had delicious food in Arno's last summer though that is closed on Mondays I think.

And woeful soup and service in Savoir Fare so it doesn't matter when that is open!

Enjoy your trip, Westport is gorgeous.

How did it go @Easipeelerie ?
I'll save this thread for the next time I'm in Westport.

We had a brilliant time. Food highlights were Tbe Helm at The Quay in Westport and Foyles Hotel in Clifden. I loved seeing the fjords and the sky road in Galway and seeing excellent music at Matt Molloy’s.
