Hi, we'll be in Dublin on Sunday for a few hours after TS at Aviva (a whole other thread). Anyone have suggestions for a cool/fun day? I'm pretty sure my girls will want to shop, me not so much. I love gardens/castles....I'm driving so don't mind going outside the city. Loved Malahide when I visited a few years ago..

Viking duck tour is a fun way to kill an hour.

We did the bus tour, the zoo was surprisingly good and then spent a lot of time in Penneys and Space NK!

If your girls want to shop, you could stick around the city centre. You could spend some time in Stephen's Green park/garden and there are lots of shops nearby in Stephen's Green Shopping Centre and along Grafton St. Dawson St has some nice options for a lunch out. This is all in a small part of the city.

There are a lot of events on this weekend (GAA final, TS, Pride) and it's estimated there will be an extra 600,000 people in the city - which you'll really feel in Dublin! For that reason I would pick an area and keep it walkable, rather than sitting in traffic with so much going on.
