Dublin Zoo Pass

If I buy a family pass for Dublin zoo do I the pass holder have to be present each time? Do they put your picture on it? Or can my partner plus children go in without me sometimes?

I posted this on an Irish forum and had no replies so maybe someone here knows!

Hopefully someone will be able to give you an answer specific to Dublin Zoo but my experience getting a pass for Fota a couple of years ago was I was there on my own with the kids when I bought it, they took my photo but it's not on the card, presume it just comes up for them on their screen when you scan it for entry. The next time I was there with my husband they took his photo. Think they use the same system as Dublin Zoo as I could use my pass in Dublin Zoo. My sister also used my pass, so I don't think they pay great attention to the photo.

@MintLion it probably is the same so, since you can use the pass in both places. We're only about 1hr 15mins without traffic to Dublin Zoo so might be nice for when the kids are a bit older but I want to be sure we can both use it independent of each other before I buy.

Love Fota, we went there a few years ago and stayed at the resort as well. We didn't have children but really enjoyed it. I'm originally from Munster and used to go as a child, it had changed a lot since the early 00s!

It has been a while since I had one but I do remember giving it to my parents to bring my kids sometimes. Just give them a call about it

Just saw you want your partner to bring them sometimes. Both me and my husband got a pass each under the one family pass

As Dulra said, both you and your partner can get a pass with your photos on it. Then either of you can go with the kids
