Job searching in Ireland

Posting for a work colleague - him & his partner are looking to move to Ireland (most likely West).

He’s looking at work but isn’t sure what he should be searching for and his partner isn’t sure either. (The partner will be going ‘home’ but has limited family/connections other than elderly parents so nobody to ask.)

We currently work in Health Commissioning for the NHS and he’s done the same work for local councils - do reviewing need, setting up tenders, contracting and monitoring providers. Are there similar roles in Ireland, and what are they called please? Searching commissioning brings up engineering!

Not exactly sure what the equivalent of that role is here but maybe try searching for procurement roles to see if they are similar?
