Hi all. I'm travelling to Bantry for a few days over Easter holidays.

Any suggestions for vegetarian food & nice walks/nature?
Glengarrif Park looks lovely. Any advice, welcome & appreciated!

The Forestry in Glengarriff is great. Also Garinish , the Italian gardens. I don't do Big Houses but I have been to Bantry House and its in a lovely location.

Fabulous walks on the peninsula out towards and beyond Kilcrohane, Sheep's Head Way. Check out villages such as Schull, Ballydehob, Crookhaven further west. There are the most beautiful beaches and the scenery is stunning

Manning's Emporium in Ballylickey is good (restaurant) if they are open.
I had a nice meal with a pal recently in the Westlodge Hotel in Bantry that I enjoyed.

Quill's shop for a woolly jumper (I know you didn't ask about woollens but thought I'd slip it in there!)

You can buy Garnish Island Gin, I have researched it extensively and found it to be lovely.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm making a list. I just hope it doesn't rain!!

If it rains you'll be forced to go to go to the Blue Loo or Bernie Harringtons in Glengarriff for a few scoops and a bit of music and craic.
