I missed the weather forecast after the RTE 1 news at 9pm last night. 🙄
Was the snow predicted ?

I think it was, but not as much. The way RTE are going you'd think it was akin to arctic circle. Fair enough, remind people to drive safely, but beyond that, give it a rest like!

I found it unexpected. I have two weather apps on my phone and they were both telling me that it was raining even as I looked out the window at a lot of snow. The roads weren't gritted either, which most of them usually are if it's expected.

I made a bad decision this morning, no harm done except wasted time fortunately. DD usually gets a lift to school with another family. The other family have a very steep downward driveway and couldn't get the car out. I came down in my pyjamas to hear DH offering to drive instead. I should have told him that nobody was driving anywhere but I hadn't really had time to think about it, I was insistent that DH wouldn't be driving. He currently has a temporary hire car which doesn't handle particularly well and he has next to no experience of cold weather driving, whereas I have a 4-wheel drive and have been driving for decades longer than him. So I set off for the 20 drive to school, 1 hr and 10 mins later I was about half way there so I just turned around and came home again.

My app was saying rain too despite quite deep snow settled in the garden and snow still falling 🙄
