Dyslexia assessment Dublin area

Looking for advice on getting a dyslexia assessment for an 8 year old in Dublin. School not being helpful. It is a Gaelscoil so yes the two languages could mean things are just taking longer but we have dyslexia on both sides of the family so I feel it is important to take it seriously. However I'm not sure where to start.
Would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Going the private route for an assessment will probably be your best option. Waiting time with NEPS can be 18 months plus.

The Dyslexia association of Ireland has some good information on their website (what to look for to make sure person is properly qualified educational psychologist etc.) There is also a Facebook page called Dyslexia Support Ireland which has great information.
