I swerved it. The RTE dramas seem a bit same-y. Was it any good?

What's rte player ? Is that our drama channel @LadyEloise1

RTE is an Irish tv and radio station- Kin was first produced for it.
Similar to BBC but with ads.
It's funded by a tv licence and government grants.
It has a catch up service called the RTE player and you can access it online I think. Blackshore will be on it.

I have been watching, it is very predictable.

From the start, it was always going to be the rich guy.

Her father was always going to be innocent.

The only thing I didn't see was the rapist.

I could have missed it but why and who is the guy who Carrie was sent to hide. What is his connection in it all

I love it. I'm actually looking forward to the episode tomorrow, think its the finale. I like the lead actress, i havent seen her before. Its full of clichés of course, a tough no nonsense cop with traumatic past comes back to home town to solve a murder and the past and present collide.... Still great though.

@Dublincailin yes I am wondering about the caravan guy too, and why she was kept a secret. I think her fathers ID will be revealed.

Is possible Roisin was raped as well and he is the father. So double whammy not just raping Roisin's daughter but also his own.

Caravan guy is strange, does he hold the key to why Fia's father killed the family?

I can't help but think the uncle is in some way involved somewhere.

Just started it. The main character is annoying me that much that I can't focus on much else!

Lisa Dwan. She’s done mostly theatre, especially Beckett plays. I can’t imagine her in a crime series, but I should give it a go.

@DublinFemale so why do you think Roisin facilitated the rapist guy? I thought maybe he was Carrie's father and threatened to hurt her so Roisin was protecting her by rejecting her so to speak, but then Carrie revealed she was also one of the victims so now I'm all confused. The date rape drug stuff is quite terrifying, i wonder how many real life versions are out there. Also where was he getting the drugs historically, before the fitness guy started supplying? And why does Fiadh wear sleeveless tops under jackets, isn't it scratchy and uncomfortable?? So many questions....

She's flipping awful isn't she. Every time she does that stupid face at the computer screen I want to scream!

It's her flinging herself about that does my head in. Just chill the beans like! There's no need to ',pose' 24/7. (She should demand a refund from the acting school!)

I gave up on it. Like Smother, Kate O'Riordan hasn't included any humour in the script so it's too depressing to watch.

Maybe it's just me, but I always find there are far too many people in these RTE shows given they're so short. Like they should focus on a few characters that you could get in to rather than getting distracted by random window dressers who ultimately add nothing to the plot. toddles back to the comfort of the West Wing

It doesn't make sense her death, someone else was involved.

I was disappointed with the finale.

why does she constantly have her hands in her pockets and what was with the odd disjointed lesbian interlude.
