Schools in Dublin south city

Hey everyone - we recently moved from a smaller town to near the Coombe hospital and I want to start thinking about schools for my eldest who will start secondary in 2025. We are not from Dublin so I don’t know anything about secondary schools.

Somebody mentioned St Patrick’s cathedral school today. Does anyone have any experiences with this or can you suggest other co-ed schools that would be accessible to us that I could start looking at?

A friend's son went there and was very happy but it was quite a few years back. Talk to the Principal and class teacher of the primary school your child attends. They'll be able to tell you where children go on to. If they're good they'll give you a steer if there are particular schools would be a good or poor match for your child.
